Turkey has gained a new facility for the production of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) for civil purposes.

Baibars Mekatronik Aviation, which was established in 2015 to meet the technological needs of Turkish farmers in the Çukurova region with national means, has become one of Türkiye's leading players in the development, production, system integration and life cycle support processes of rotary wing unmanned aerial vehicle systems.

Achieving export success to 9 countries since its establishment, baibars has received the highest direct foreign investment in its sector in the history of the Republic from Japan and continues its journey as a Turkish-Japanese partnership. It has exceeded 70 thousand operational flight hours with its fire response and supply/cargo UAVs.

baibars has reached a monthly production capacity of 100 UAVs in the new factory it established, taking into account the increasing demand and potential. In the new facility, not only agricultural, fire response and supply/cargo UAVs will be produced, but also energy systems and propulsion systems.

Baibars, which employs more than half of its employees as R&D engineers, continues its activities by taking into account the needs and technologies of the future.

baibars Senior Manager Çağlayan Erguvan, in his statement to the AA correspondent, said that export-oriented sustainable growth is at the center of his work.

Emphasized that Turkish UAVs have an internationally successful reputation, Erguvan stated that preserving and developing this success is their biggest priority.
